I’m Stéphane — An all around data guy! A technically minded builder with deep roots in both data engineering and hands-on hardware development. Based in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, I’ve spent the last couple of years at the intersection of embedded systems, Data and AI, and IoT, drawn equally to the elegance of clean code and the satisfaction of something physical working exactly as designed.
My journey has taken me through the full stack — from configuring microcontrollers, designing data pipelines, building AI solutions, to exploring data engineering landscapes and building proof-of-concept and production analytics solutions. I’m the kind of person who will spend an evening debugging a project and feel entirely at peace about it.
Beyond code and circuits, I’m an amateur photographer (Follow me on Vero or Instagram) with a particular interest in street and landscape photography - capturing the busy complexity of the streets and quiet serene landscapes. This same patience and precision shows up in everything I build.
I am also teacher at Collège La Cité, a francophone college in Ontario, where I guide students through the art and craft of data analysis and data visualization — not just the mechanics of data, but how to ask the right questions, explore datasets with intention, and ultimately tell compelling stories with numbers.
I am currently working full-time as a Senior Solution Engineer @ Microsoft.
I believe the best engineers — and the best storytellers — are insatiably curious. My workbench — physical and digital — is never quite tidy, and I think that’s a feature, not a bug.
You know where to find me!
